It offers a unique incubation environment dedicated to cutting-edge human-machine interaction technologies (artificial intelligence, information and communication technologies). Equipped with modern infrastructure, it provides a tailored launchpad for our spin-offs, while also welcoming ambitious start-ups and SMEs to foster synergies and collaborative innovation

Our scientific foundation is strengthened by close collaborations with the region's flagship education and research institutions. Whether tackling the challenges of the energy transition with HES-SO Valais/Wallis, leading large-scale projects with EPFL Valais or the Icare institute, integrating AI into education with HEP Valais, or working with UniDistance to train the next generation of AI experts, these unique synergies allow us to combine our respective expertise. Together, we ensure optimal knowledge transfer and lasting value creation for the entire canton.

Recently, Idiap has been helping SMEs stay competitive by integrating AI into their businesses through collaborations with CimArk (via the Digitourism program), The Ark, and IdeArk. This support includes collaborative workshops to identify AI opportunities, as well as tailored guidance for implementation. Initial projects with WebEvolutions and Tokiwi have demonstrated how AI can enhance digital solutions, from workforce planning to automated analytics and reporting.
